According to GSMArena, instead equipped with dual-core processor 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 S4 as the international version, Form S for HTC One Taiwanese market using S3 Snapdragon MSM8260 processor overclocked 1.7 GHz speed.
This change is attributed to the supply shortage Snapdragon processor which ever is S4 anxiety for original equipment manufacturers (OEM), making these firms even have to choose a manufacturer chip (processor) other. And that is why HTC choose an older version of the dual-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon.
Though, HTC maintained for One S dual-core performance at speed and even put up a little bit higher level than the international version.
Basically, One S model equipped with Super AMOLED 4.3-inch screen, 1 GB RAM, integrated memory 16 GB storage, Adreno 225 graphics core and running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Fully integrated main camera at 8 megapixels, support 1080p video (30 frames / second). Also, One S Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The company will basically OEM parts using hardware or software from another company in the production of products with its own brand.
